HEYDAR ALIYEV - ZAHA HADID
The architectures of Zaha Hadid is my inspiration behind this collection. Her designs helps me to break the mental barrier and be free. In this collection, I particularly draw my inspiration from her design of Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku, Azerbaijan. The flow of lines used by her, compelled me to think about her design process and co-relate them with mine. This collection has a of a lot of organic and free flowing lines taking an abstract form. Merino Wool from Australia and Indian Silk makes the fabric warm and lustrous. “Kantha” embroidery, one of the oldest hand embroidery techniques of Eastern India, has been used. The scarves are hand dyed and each and every stitch is done by local Artesian with hands.
